Zach has a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies from Arizona State University, concentrating in the fields of English and Education. Prior to attending university, Zach swam and dove competitively through high school – finishing his swimming career at the 2011 Arizona State High School Championships where he placed 4th in the 100 Backstroke and 5th in the 200 IM. After graduating in 2015, Zach continued to work alongside swimmers/divers and coaches in various capacities: most recently as the Head Swim & Dive Coach for Olympian High School (located in the South San Diego area); and as the Head Swim & Dive Coach at the Colorado Athletic Club - Monaco. Zach has 20 years' worth of summer experience at CACM and in the Metro League - first as a swimmer with the Marlins and then as a coach. His favorite swim event is the 100 IM and favorite dive is the 'flying-squirrel!'
On a personal note, Zach regularly 'fires up the cylinders' - open-water swimming, mountain biking, hot yoga, trail running, to mention but a few. During the school year Zach is a Kindergarten - 8th Grade P.E. teacher at a local San Diego Montessori.
Zach will be working with all practice groups.
Kate and her family recently relocated from Chicago, Illinois and was a competitive swimmer for over 20 years. She was a member of the high school and club swim teams at The Bolles School in Jacksonville, Florida and attended Michigan State University where she swam the mile and other distance events. Following college, Kate participated in various master's programs and swam for the Gold Coast Masters Team in Chicago for nine years. Kate's coaching experience consists of various summer training camps and coach of the summer swim team at The Point O' Woods Golf & Country Club in Southwest Michigan. Off the pool deck, Kate enjoys open-water swimming and running. She is eager to get outdoors and explore the trails and ski slopes with her family. In addition to coaching, Kate is the Director of Practice Group Administration for an AmLaw200 firm.
Kate will be working with the Upper Division swimmers.
Mattie has had a long career in coaching. He has coached High School lacrosse, USA Swimming, and most recently has run the swim program for the YMCA including swim team, lessons, and lifeguards. Mattie swam at the University of Iowa and has passion for teaching children how to swim. He will also be teaching swim lessons.
Mattie will be working with our 8 & Under swimmers.
Mia is back for another year of coaching at Eastmoor! She spent her Freshman year at the University of Colorado, after graduating from Arapahoe High School where she swam on their varsity swim team for 4 years. Mia grew up swimming at Eastmoor and earned her "lifetime achievement" award last summer. She's looking forward to being back as a coach.
Mia will be working with some 11-12s and the 9-10s/8 & Under swimmers.
Reid is returning to his final season as an Eastmoor swimmer and to coaching at Eastmoor. Reid is finishing up His Senior year at Littleton High School and is ready for another great summer.
Reid will be helping with Upder Division Dry Land, the 9-10s and 8 & Unders.
Hope and Brynn are excited to join the coaching staff at Eastmoor! Both have swam for Eastmoor since they were little and they swim together on the Varsity Swim Team at Arapahoe High School. Hope likes to swim any distance Freestyle, while Brynn favorite events are Breaststroke, Fly, and IM. They are finishing up their Freshman year at Arapahoe.
Hope and Brynn will be mainly working with the 8 & Unders.
